Goalkeeper Čech wins best Czech footballer award for 12th time

Goalkeeper Petr Cech, 36, from Arsenal London, has won the Golden Ball award for the best Czech footballer of the season for the 12th time, and the third time in a row, followed by midfielder Antonin Barak and defender Pavel Kaderabek, the poll organisers announced on Tuesday.

Prague's CEE Cup now in eight year

Young football players from different continents will be showing off their skills at the eighth edition of the CEE Cup, held July 25 to 31. The final match will take place in the Ďolíček stadium in Prague's Vršovice district. The famous stadium, built in the 1930s, is home to Bohemians 1905.

Czechs to face US in ice hockey quarterfinals

Kvitová wins Prague Open women's tennis tournament

Czech Petra Kvitova won Prague WTA women's tennis tournament, winning 23rd title in her career. In the final match, she beat Mihaela Buzarnescu (Romania) 4-6, 6-2 6-3.

US Olympic medallist Rupp wins Prague Marathon
