Eight-year-old bay horse No Time To Lose with Czech jockey Jan Kratochvíl won 127th Grand Pardubice steeplechase race on Sunday, overcoming Urgent de Gregaine with French jockey Felix de Giles in the last part of the course before the finish line.

Ice hockey legend Jaromír Jágr will be back playing for Rytíři Kladno, most likely on Saturday, Sept. 30. It will be the first time he has been on Czech ice since Jan. 8, 2013, at the end of the NHL lockout before going back to play for the Dallas Stars.

Team Europe wins Laver Cup

The Team Europe won the first Laver Cup tennis tournament held in Prague, beating the Team World 15-9, after Swiss Roger Federer defeated Australian Nick Kyrgios 4-6, 7-6 and 11-9 in super tie-break on Sunday.

Inaugural tennis Laver Cup opens in Prague

The 1st Laver Cup tennis team competition will open with Marin Cilic playing against Frances Tiafoe in Prague's 02 Arena at 13:00 on Friday, the Team Europe and Team World captains, Bjorn Borg and John McEnroe, told journalists on Thursday.

Eight-time winner Váňa not to join Grand Pardubice steeplechase

Popular Czech jockey Josef Vana, 64, a record eight-time winner of the Grand Pardubice steeplechase, will not take part in the prestigious race on October 8 due to persisting hip troubles, he has announced but said he does not plan to end his career.
