Exchanging money, whether you are an arriving tourist or a local going on a trip, is still one of the big pitfalls of travel in the Czech Republic. Janek Rubeš, known for his Honest Guide video series, has newly released a Google map titled Map of Honest Exchange Places, listing some 20 exchange shops that have good reputations for giving fair rates.

Palmovka renovation starting

Construction has started by the tram stop at Na Žertvách Street in Prague 8, near the Palmovka metro stop, as part of the Palmovka 2030 project. The aim is to cultivate the site with new paving and furniture. The work will take about two months.

Prague Zoo saving endangered Peruvian frog

A group of 70 Titicaca water frogs arrived at Prague Zoo on March 1. These critically endangered frogs live only in Lake Titicaca, on the border of Peru and Bolivia.

National Museum's dome open to public

The general public for the first time will be able to enter the dome on the Historical Building of the National Museum on Prague's Wenceslas Square. The building re-opened March 1, after being closed for a break in February. It had been closed from 2011 to October 2018 for renovations, which are still ongoing.

Musica Orbis 2019: Doshisha University Orchestra
